I WANT TO JOIN THE ARMY OF 300!
Welcome to Live Life Loud Resources (L3 Resources), a nonprofit organization founded in 2019 by Rev. Matthew and Heather Ruesch. Our journey began with a profound empathy for the struggles faced by young people, particularly the alarming rates of teen suicide and related precursors in the United States. Driven by our own experiences and a deep-seated desire to offer hope and restore the intrinsic value of every human life, we founded the You Matter Tour™ and began using our voices to shift this culture of death back to one of love and life in Christ.
Through the You Matter Tour™, Heather has shared her message of hope and the inherent dignity of human life with hundreds of thousands of students across college, church, and school campuses nationwide. Our mission expanded as we established The Cure™ - Teen Coaching & Life Skills Workshop in our home community of Iron Mountain, MI, with the vision to create a template for future expansions to more locations in the coming years.
As we continue our journey, we are thrilled to introduce our latest campaign: #25ormorein2024. Inspired by the biblical story of Gideon, who led a small but faithful army to victory, we are calling for 300 Christian partners to stand with us in combating the troubling rates of teen suicide precursors in our local community, but also become part of an army that will provide the foundation for more local communities to open a Cure workshop of their own.
In Judges 7, Gideon initially gathers 32,000 soldiers, believing he needs vast numbers to overcome the enemy. However, God has other plans. He instructs Gideon to keep only 300 faithful soldiers by his side, demonstrating that God's power depends not on numbers but on faithfulness.
Similarly, the population of the areas we serve at The Cure™ - Iron Mountain is approximately 32,000. We believe that just as God used 300 faithful individuals to accomplish His purposes, we can make a significant impact with a dedicated few who are committed to supporting our mission.

The Problem
Sadly, suicide is the second leading cause of death among students ages 10-14 and the third leading cause of death among those aged 15-24 in the United States (National Institute of Mental Health, 2023). In a study conducted locally in Dickinson and Iron Counties (MI), the health department found the number of students facing depressive thoughts and substance consumption (precursors to suicide) is higher than the national average (Doyle, Aimee. "Local Youth Survey Reveals Disturbing Trends in Dickinson -Iron Counties." TV19 WZMQ, July 27, 2023.).

We envision a future where education goes beyond textbooks, empowering students with essential life skills and resilience; students are encouraged to explore their passions, overcome obstacles, and forge their unique path, knowing they are irreplaceable members of a larger purpose and loved unconditionally. Through this shared vision, we see lives, families, and hope for the future restored in the students we serve.
